The Union of Composers of the Republic of Kazakhstan presents a concert of chamber and vocal music “Kesteli Oramal” dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh composer, public figure, People’s Artist of the USSR, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, Mukan Tulebayev.

During his short life Tulebayev composed more than 100 pieces of music. His operas, cantatas and oratorios attract particular attention. During the war he composed such famous romances as Tos, Meni Tos and Kesteli Oramal. The opera Birzhan-Sara, which was awarded the State Prize of the USSR, is the pinnacle of his work and the most notable achievement of Kazakh musical culture of the twentieth century.

The programme will include arias and duets from operas, romances and songs by the composer, as well as chamber and vocal compositions by members of the Creative Union – B. Kydyrbek, S. Abdinurov, A. Abdinurov, A. Zhaiym, A. Kazakbayev, A. Tani, T. Beissembek, K. Izmailova, N. Tanatar, A. Kadyrov, D. Kalmagambetov and others, performed by Kazakhstani artists and the Astana Opera soloists.

 

Tickets purchased at the Astana Opera are exchangeable and refundable only in cases of cancelled or postponed performances. In all other cases, no refunds and exchanges are possible.
