In 1965, December 1, in Kokshetau was officially opened the Regional Philharmonic named after U. Ybyrai. This event was preceded by almost a 20-year work of music groups and concert and variety bureau, established in 1946. Now the Philharmonic is a bulwark of popularization of classical music of domestic and foreign performers.

During all the years of its activity, the Philharmonic has brought up dozens of talented conductors, performers and musicians. Many of them now form the backbone of the team, which employs almost 200 specialists. Thanks to their efforts, residents, and guests of the Akmola region can enjoy the world's great works of classical music live.

The Philharmonic Hall itself was built in 1963 and occupies an area of more than 2000 square meters and its concert facilities can accommodate up to 400 spectators. In 2013, it was completely renovated. The Philharmonic also has a dressing room and a buffet.

The pride of the Philharmonic is, of course, its workers, most of whom have higher education, and some are awarded honorary titles "Honored Artist of Kazakhstan", "Madeniet Salasynin Uzdigi" and "Madeniet kairatkeri".

Orchestras: symphonic and variety-spiritual;
