By popular demand, the Chamber Choir of the State Academic Philharmonic named after Ye. Rakhmadiyev opens the new season with a vibrant concert programme featuring choral arrangements of folk songs, and hit songs by Kazakhstani composers.

Founded in May 2004, the Kazakhstani choral ensemble is well known in the country and abroad. Numerous tours, performances on the most prestigious stages, victories in republican and international competitions have proven the high performing culture of the ensemble. The awards of the Chamber Choir include Grand Prix of the 25th and First Prize of the 30th International Festival of Orthodox Church Music “Hajnówka” (Poland), two Gold Medals of the World Choir Games, two Gold Cups of the World Choir Forum (China), Grand Prix of the International Festival of Choral Art “Astana – An Kanatynda” and the International Festival “Zhubanov Koktemi-2012”, etc.

The Choir’s extensive repertoire includes works of national and world classics.

The programme features songs by N. Tlendiyev, I. Zhakanov, Sh. Kaldayakov, M. Kussainov, T. Mukhamedzhanov, M. Omarov, A. Beiseuov, A. Zatsepin, Ye. Abdykhalykova and others.
