Children Invite to the Opera House

THE CONCERT IS HELD IN KAZAKH AND RUSSIAN

Traditionally, on International Children’s Day, the Astana Opera Children’s Studio presents its annual concert “Children Invite to the Opera House”.

The Children’s Studio was created in 2013. Pupils of the Chorus and Ballet Studios participate in the theatre’s performances and concert programmes. The Studio educates children who are passionate about art, have good stage presence and musical abilities. Its first graduates are now studying at art schools in Kazakhstan and abroad.

Since 2022, a new unique project called “Theatrical Crafts” has been introduced at the Astana Opera House. Children learn to create stage props, costumes and delve into the basics of the fine arts. Before the start of the concert, they present their works at an exhibition before the audience.

On stage, the Children’s Chorus Studio will perform pieces from classical and national repertoire, while young dancers will showcase vibrant choreographic numbers.
