Choral Music Concert

A Palette of Harmonies

A celebration of choral music on the stage of the Kulyash Baiseitova Chamber Hall is presented by the Girls’ Choir of the National Youth Music School of Hamburg (Germany) and the Chamber Choir of the Ye. Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic Society.

A programme of choral works by Western European composers and Kazakhstani authors will be presented at the concert “A Palette of Harmonies”.

While the Chamber Choir of the Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic, founded in May 2004, is well known in the country and abroad, the Hamburg Girls’ Choir’s performance is the first encounter with Kazakhstani audiences as part of the Central Asia tour.

The Hamburg Girls’ Choir was founded in 2003 by Gesa Werhahn and Christoph Pillat. The chorus consists of approximately 200 singing girls from several age groups, some as young as four years old. The diverse repertoire contains German as well as international choral music and the main objective is to cultivate a cappella music.

The Hamburg Girls’ Choir is one of the most famous girls’ choirs in Germany. It has been both a finalist and a winner of the last three German Choir Competitions (2010, 2014, 2018) and will be in the final round in 2023 again.
