“Bel Canto Music Salon” Series

An evening of chamber music “The Elegiac Mood” as part of the “Bel Canto Music Salon” series will be held at the Astana Opera Chamber Hall.

The time that poets loved and celebrated as the golden autumn is very much in tune with the lyrical music genre called elegy. Elegy is a lyrical song of reflection with a touch of light sadness. In autumn we feel sad about the summer that is gone, and indulge in memories of the happy encounters and fond partings that were left behind.

The concert will feature vocal, instrumental and poetic works of an elegiac nature. Opera soloists and instrumentalists will perform the beautiful music of Kazakhstani composers, as well as R. Schumann, A. Dvořák, J. Massenet, P. Tchaikovsky, N. Rimsky-Korsakov, S. Rachmaninoff and other composers.
