Kolsai Lakes are one of the most beautiful places of Kazakh nature, the lakes are called the pearl of the Northern Tien Shan. They are located at altitudes of 1800, 2250 and 2700 meters above sea level. The warm season lasts from April to the end of September.
Kaindy Lake is one of the mysterious places of the foothills at an altitude of 2000 m above sea level among fir trees, surrounded by mountain peaks. It arose about 100 years ago as a result of the collapse of a huge mass of rock that blocked the gorge with a natural dam. The lake is located 12 km east of the first Kolsai Lake.

Kolsai Lake Tours
Kolsai Lakes (Kulsai Lakes) is a system of three lakes in the northern Tien Shan, in the Kolsai Gorge, in the bridge connecting the Kungei-Alatau and Zailiysky Alatau ridges. The lakes are located on the territory of the Rayymbek district of the Almaty region of Kazakhstan and are located 10 km north of the border with Kyrgyzstan, 330 km southeast of Alma-Ata at an altitude of about 1000 m, 2500 m, 2700 m above sea level.
The lakes are called the «pearl of the Northern Tien Shan». The lakes are surrounded by a coniferous forest of Tien Shan spruce. The depth of the lakes reaches 50 m . Among the fauna is rainbow trout.
Kolsai lakes include 3 lakes:
The third lake is located at an altitude of 1818 m, its length is 1 km, width 400 m, depth 80 m.
Secondary (second) Kolsay Lake (Mynzhylgy) is located at an altitude of 2252, the largest of the three lakes.
The first Kolsai Lake or Upper Kolsai is at an altitude of 2850 m .
11 km to the east near the village of Saty is the picturesque Kaindy Lake.
