Wolfgang Amadeus MOZART
Music by Candlelight
Third Concert
Wolfgang Amadeus MOZART
THE CONCERT IS HELD IN KAZAKH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES
The third concert in the “Music by Candlelight” series, dedicated to the great Mozart, is presented by the first violin of the Astana Opera Orchestra, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Bagdat Abilkhanov and the laureate of international competitions, pianist Saltanat Abilkhanova. The programme of the evening features violin sonatas by the Viennese classical composer, as well as work by the Italian composer and the greatest violin virtuoso of the 18th century Giuseppe Tartini.
It is well known that Mozart began composing his first violin sonata in 1762 at the age of six; the last one was created in 1788, in the same year as symphonies No. 39, 40 and 41. In total, the composer wrote more than three dozen violin sonatas.
These “musical conversations” were born by magic, in full accordance with the image of Mozart as we imagine him – a carefree genius who created as birds sing: sonatas seemed to appear casually by themselves.
