As is tradition during the long winter evenings, opera soloists and instrumental musicians from Astana Opera invite fans of chamber-vocal art to a concert with the poetic title “An Evening by the Fireplace”. This romantic evening is dedicated to the anniversary of Khorlan Kalilambekova, People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, recipient of the “Parasat” and “Kurmеt” Orders, and professor.

Years ago, Khorlan Kalilambekova was the creative inspiration and organizer of the winter concerts “Evening by the Fireplace” at the Kulyash Baiseitova Theatre. This series remains especially beloved by the capital’s audiences today. In the cozy and romantic atmosphere created by the stage design, the evening will feature not only romances and songs with beautiful melodies but also heartfelt poetic lines.

Joining the soloists on stage will be Khorlan Kalilambekova’s long-time accompanist, with whom she collaborated for years on concerts such as “Musical Salon,” “An Evening by the Fireplace,” romance evenings, musical-poetic evenings, and other projects Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, Raushan Beskembirova.

The programme will include romances by Russian composers, works by Kazakhstani authors, as well as poems by Kazakh and Russian poets.

Among the performers will be opera soloists, instrumental musicians, and students of the renowned singer.
