The ensemble “Viles Nobiles” was founded in 2018 in Almaty.

The group performs music from different eras, from early baroque to modern composers.

In 2021, together with the soloists of the Abai KNTOB, Zarina Altynbayeva and Yelena Nikonova, the group’s debut album was recorded.

In 2020, Kazakh opera singer Zarina Altynbayeva, together with the ensemble “Viles Nobiles”, released the solo album “Pearls of the Baroque” under the Japanese label “Bliss International”

To date, the ensemble has already presented several different concert programmes for listeners in Kazakhstan: “Baroque Music”, “La musica del Barocco”, and “An Evening of Works by French Composers”.

The Baroque era elevated performing arts to unprecedented heights. Playing musical instruments seemed to have reached its apotheosis, but no instrument conveyed the spirit of the Baroque so authentically as the violin. The instrument itself underwent incredible changes and technological improvements.

Flute music became an important milestone in the culture of the Baroque era.

The viola da gamba is not only an ancient musical instrument, but also a heritage of the era, connecting generations of musicians and music connoisseurs. Thanks to its unique sound and centuries-old history, the viola da gamba still captivates listeners.

Instrumental ensembles of the Baroque era are distinguished by their diversity. However, not all musical instruments of the time had a modern appearance, and some did not exist at all. The harpsichord, predecessor of the piano, was the main instrument of that era.
