The concert “In the Rhythms of the Twentieth Century” will feature the music of great artists of the 20th century who lived and worked in different Americas: Igor Stravinsky in the North and Astor Piazzolla in the South, leaving the world with brilliant works in two different music styles: neoclassical and tango nuevo.

The concert will include the suite from Pulcinella, the first work of Stravinsky’s neoclassical period. Pergolesi’s music became the inspiration for his imagination. He carefully and lovingly incorporated individual melodic cues and rhythmic formulas from the great Neapolitan’s music into his score but in a different harmonic form.

The name of Astor Piazzolla is well known to fans of the passionate Argentine tango. It was he who managed to turn “folk” tango into a high art and modern classic, fully preserving its unique exciting energy. The series Histoire du Tango is a new sound of tango, combining the best elements of jazz and classical music.

The concert is sure to please music lovers.
