The Quiet Words of Love

Romance... It is full of charm and light sadness. Encountering it is always pleasant and desirable. How many amazing romances were created by great composers! They are close and understandable to us today, just as they were close and understandable to people of the 19th and 20th centuries.

 

The evening of the Russian romance “The Quiet Words of Love” will be held in the Chamber Hall of K. Baiseitova and will be dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the Russian composer Alexander Varlamov, the author of popular romances and songs based on texts by more than 40 poets, including A. Pushkin, M. Lermontov, V. Zhukovsky, A. Delvig, A. Fet, A. Pleshcheyev and many others.

 

Famous romances of the composer “The Red Sarafan”, “Along the Street a Blizzard Sweeps”, “Do Not Wake Her At Dawn”, “Swift Nightingale”, “Do not Sing, Nightingale”, “Mountain Peaks” as well as other romances and instrumental masterpieces by Russian composers will be performed by opera soloists and artists of the orchestra of the Astana Opera.

 

The poetic atmosphere of the evening will also be created by the inspired poems of Russian poets.
