“Breath of Wind”

The evening of chamber music will present works for oboe, bassoon and piano by French and Kazakhstani composers performed by an instrumental trio: Damilya MAKHPIROVA, Asset NELDIBAYEV and Gulzhanat ZHANATAYEVA.

It is no coincidence that the concert is called “Breath of Wind”: French music, which is distinguished by special delicacy and lightness, is performed on woodwind instruments and piano, that is, it is literally born of the breath of wonderful virtuoso musicians. The works they are going to perform require high professional skills and are included in the academic repertoire of the best instrumentalists.

French music presents a retrospective: from the old (T. Lalliet) to the classics of the twentieth century (F. Poulenc, J. Françaix). The concert programme also includes works by Kazakhstani composers Gulzhan Uzenbayeva and Alibi Abdinurov, who show great creative interest in chamber ensembles.

The atmosphere of a modern music salon will prevail in the Chamber Hall. And we are sure that a gentle breath of inspiration will touch every guest of the evening.

 

Damilya Makhpirova, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan – Oboe Company Accompanist of the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra.

Her concert repertoire includes works of chamber music by J.S.Bach, G.P. Telemann, J. Quantz, M. Ravel, as well as contemporary composers – A. Schnittke, S. Abdinurov and many others. Damilya Makhpirova has brought up a large number of young oboists who work in many artistic teams of the republic. She makes a significant contribution to the development of instrumental art in Kazakhstan.

 

Asset Neldibayev, Madeniyet Kairatkeri – Bassoon Company Accompanist of the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra. His repertoire includes works of all musical directions. He performs both solo and in ensembles. Asset Neldibayev is one of the leaders of the instrumental quintet QUICONTE. He is a talented teacher, whose students become laureates of republican and international competitions.

 

Gulzhanat Zhanatayeva – Head of the Chamber Ensemble and Quartet Department of the Kazakh National University of Arts. As an accompanist, she has participated in many international and national competitions.

She actively performs in concerts with leading soloists and ensembles of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as with famous musicians from Russia and other countries. Participation in chamber ensembles, solo concerts, as well as performing as an accompanist earned her a reputation as an excellent ensemble player and a keen musician.

She was awarded with certificates and medals of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
