West – East: Musical Parallels
Kazakhstan’s renowned ensemble, the State String Gaziza Zhubanova Quartet, opens its first concert of the new year with a performance of works by composers representing two brands of world culture – Classicism (Haydn) and Romanticism (Mendelssohn).
The musicians are consistent promoters of national culture. Not a single concert by the State String Gaziza Zhubanova Quartet is without a performance of works by Kazakhstani composers. The concert will feature Akku by Nurgissa Tlendiyev, arranged by Arman Zhaiym.
The high level of skill of the Gaziza Zhubanova State String Quartet has been repeatedly noted with awards and prizes at various international competitions.
