The chamber music concert “The Silver Thread of Fantasies will feature cello works by Robert Schumann, representative of the German Romantic School, performed by the famous Kazakhstani musician, laureate of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of culture and art, winner of international competitions Yermek Kurmanayev and pianist, Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan, Professor Altai Kussainov.

The German composer Robert Schumann’s work is inseparable from his personality. A member of the Leipzig School, Schumann was a brilliant exponent of Romanticism in music.

“Intellect may err, but not the feelings” was his artistic credo to which he remained faithful throughout his short life. This is also the case in his works, which are filled with deeply personal feelings – sometimes light and sublime, sometimes dark and oppressive, but utterly sincere in each of their notes.
