Yuki Murata is a composer and pianist from Japan, who debuted as a member of the Tokyo-based cinematic instrumental music group Anoice, releasing her debut album on Important Records in Boston in 2006.

Their talent was highly appreciated by world-renowned musicians such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Nobuo Uematsu, and Christian Fennesz. In 2012, Anoice released their critically acclaimed third album "The Black Rain" on their music label Ricco Label, as well as on Important Records in the US and Flowers Blossom In The Space in Russia. This album was selected as one of the best albums of the year by many music reviewers.

In 2015, Anoice released their fourth album "Into the Shadows," which was recorded not only in Tokyo, but also in London, Paris, Warsaw, and Moscow. One of the album's tracks, "Old Lighthouse," became the most popular track on Spotify among Japanese artists, and the track "Invasion" was used in the end credits of the film "Girl Lost," which became the most popular film on Amazon Prime Video. Two years later, Anoice released a compilation "selected works," featuring their ambient tracks, on the label 1631 Recordings in Sweden and began distributing it through Universal Music. A notice and the group members Takahiro Kido and Yuki Murata then started conducting European and Asian tours annually. In 2019, Anoice released three consecutive singles in May, and then in August released their fifth album "Ghost in the Clocks," consisting of beautiful melodies and majestic orchestral sounds that Anoice wrote to express the world following their third album "The Black Rain." This album and each composition in it took first place and entered the top 10 most listened/downloaded instrumental music works on Apple Music and iTunes Store in more than 20 countries.

Additionally, Anoice and its members have created music for numerous commercial advertisements for brands such as Armani, Louis Vuitton, Google, YAMAHA, TOYOTA, Mazda Motor Corporation, Johnnie Walker, Ballantine's, JAXA, Heinz, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, among others. They have also composed soundtracks for films such as "Tsukiji Wonderland" by director Naotaro Endo, "Olivier Zahm: Digital Provocateur" by director Can Evgin, and "Girl Lost: A Hollywood Story" by director Robin Bain, as well as for television programs released by NHK, WOWOW, and TV TOKYO. Some of these films have been awarded at the Venice Film Festival, Prix Italia, National Arts Festival in Japan, Cool Japan Matching Award, Japan Movie Critics Award, and Japan World's Tourism Film Festival. Moreover, Takahiro Kido and Yuki Murata, composers of Anoice, received an award for Best Original Soundtrack at the Sapporo International Short Film Festival. Yuki Murata has also received top honors at piano competitions, such as the Piano Teachers' National Association of Japan (PTNA) and the International Piano Duo Competition.

Anoice also participated in relief efforts after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Hurricane Sandy and contributed to aid through various charity albums.
