More than 40 years in Kyzylorda operates Regional State Philharmonic Society. It was organized by the order of the Ministry of Culture of the Kazakh SSR in 1976 and since then has been an integral part of the cultural life of the city. A great contribution to the establishment of the Philharmonic Society was made by its first director T. Kalauov. On his initiative, the ensembles "Aktolkyn" and "Syr Kumbezi" were created, which included venerable artists such as F. Tolegenova, A. Tuyakbaev, K. Saktaganov, and many others. They were replaced by no less talented musicians and leaders. In subsequent years, groups were formed, which became the hallmark of the Philharmonic, such as "Syr Marzhany" and "Syr Samaly". The high bar, taken by the Regional Philharmonic Society in the beginning, is still supported now.

KOF staff continue to popularize classical and national music among the population and support the established musical traditions of the region.  They participate in various municipal and national competitions. As an example, there are prize places at the II International Festival in Antalya and "Caspian - Dostyk Tenizi", as well as at the competition "Elim Menin" and so on. The Philharmonic Hall does not lag behind modern standards in terms of equipment. There are a recording and arrangement studio, high-quality audio equipment, various stage costumes, and colorful decorations.
