(To the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence)

The Chamber Choir of the State Academic Philharmonic of Nur-Sultan Akimat will present a concert programme dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It will feature choral works by composers of Kazakhstan, as well as folk and ritual songs.

The Chamber Choir of the State Academic Philharmonic of Astana Akimat was founded in May 2004. Its first performance took place on 1 June of the same year in the hall of the Presidential Centre of Culture.

Numerous tours, performances on the most prestigious stages, victories in republican and international competitions have become evidence of the team’s high performing culture. Among the awards of the Chamber Choir are the Grand Prix of the 25th and 30th International Festival of Sacred Music “Hajnówka” (Poland), two Gold Medals of the World Choir Games, two Gold Cups of the World Choir Forum (China), the Grand Prix of the International Festival of Choral Art “Astana - An Kanatynda” and the International Festival “Zhubanov Koktemi-2012”, etc.

 

The Choir's extensive repertoire includes works of national and world classics.
