I Believe: I am Love…

Concert

I Believe: I am Loved…

(To commemorate the 225th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin)

THE CONCERT IS HELD IN RUSSIAN

A vocal music concert titled “I Believe: I am Loved...” will take place on the eve of the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. Romances based on the poetry of the Russian poet will be performed by the Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, baritone Talgat Mussabayev and soloists of the Astana Opera House. The piano accompaniment will be provided by Igor Oleksenko from Almaty.

Over a thousand composers (including contemporaries of the poet) have repeatedly turned to the works of Pushkin. Operas, ballets, choirs, oratorios, cantatas, symphonic and chamber instrumental works, over 2000 romances, music for dramatic performances, films, television and radio broadcasts constitute the legacy of Pushkin-inspired music.

For Pushkin himself, music was not only a fine art but also a lofty one, filled with immense ethical content.

The concert “I Believe: I am Loved...” will be a tribute to the grateful memory of the genius of Russian poetry and a gift to all admirers of his work.
