The Ballet Globe International Dance Festival returns with a new grandiose contemporary dance project CONTEMPO.
12 stars of modern dance from the best theaters of the world will perform on the main stage of the Almaty Theatre. Ballet Globe CONTEMPO will present residents and guests of Almaty with more than 20 bright and bold productions by choreographers from the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the USA, Kazakhstan and others.
A landmark event of the festival will be the premiere of a production from incredibly talented artists Chloe Abaret (Netherlands Dance Theater) and Olivier Coffard (London). The artists are preparing a unique number especially for the audience of Kazakhstan.

Contemporary dance (contemp) is a direction of modern choreography that originated at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries in the USA, which primarily involves the expression of one's feelings and emotions through dance.

"Contemporary is one of the most popular dance styles of modern choreography in the world. It's not just a dance, it's an expression of feelings, emotions, a whole life on stage. The artists speak to the audience in the language of dance and everyone will discover a unique piece, plunging into a faceless world. It is impossible to convey in words, it just needs to be experienced. We have gathered the best artists around the world to share their story with connoisseurs of high art in Almaty.
