The first and only English–language theater in Kazakhstan - KELT - has produced more than 35 productions over the twenty years of its existence. The Community Theater was founded in 2001 and its home to this day is KIMEP University. The theater is best known to the Almaty audience for the musical «CINDERELLA‎» Rodgers and Hammerstein, shown at the Palace of Schoolchildren in 2017. The theater is led by specialists from America: Jessica Lewis and Laura Pacini, who work with KELT and have been living in Kazakhstan for more than 10 years.
