PIAZZOLLALBERDI

Iñaki Alberdi is a well-known accordionist, teacher and great advocate of contemporary musical art. He has been a true revolution for the dissemination and expansion of the accordion repertoire, making it an instrument in demand in the great concert halls of Spain and the world.

With his mastery of the accordion, Iñaki Alberdi combines two traditions: the tradition of his native Euskadi, appealing to its rich folklore, and that of many contemporary composers who have found in the accordion an expressive, mysterious and very versatile instrument for their works.

The performer’s wide repertoire, which spans from the Renaissance to the 21st century, presents a new perspective for classical music, seamlessly blending popular and avant-garde elements.

 

The programme will feature music by Argentine composer, bandoneonist and arranger Astor Piazzolla, including The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires and other tangos. Additionally, pieces by Argentine composers Alberto Ginastera and Federico Jusid will be performed.

Iñaki Alberdi will be performing with a string quartet from Spain.
