THE CONCERT IS HELD IN KAZAKH AND RUSSIAN

An evening of flamenco for lovers of passionate Spanish music will be presented by the young capital ensemble, Alex Geyer Flamenco Project. Through authentic performances, the musicians aim to popularise the art of flamenco in Kazakhstan.

Ensemble consists of:

Alexander Geyer (guitar) is a winner of international competitions, a graduate of the Kazakh National University of Arts, and the organiser of the Astana Jazz Festival.

Vlad Zotov (percussion) spent seven years studying flamenco music in Spain. He took lessons from one of the world’s most famous flamenco masters, Paco de Lucía (Israel Suarez). He has worked with numerous ensembles in Kazakhstan and abroad.

Kydyrali Kulov (piano) is a winner of international competitions.

The concert programme will feature original music by the ensemble and contemporary flamenco composers such as Paco de Lucía, Vicente Amigo, Antonio Rey and others.
