“Song is the Soul of a People”

(Songs of peoples of the world)

The “Song is the Soul of a People” concert will take place on June 30 at 7.00 pm in the Chamber Hall and feature Astana Opera soloists - winners of international competitions Roza Nurkey (soprano), Gulzhanat Sapakova (mezzo-soprano), Ramzat Balakishiyev (tenor) and Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Zhanat Shybykbayev (baritone).

Song is an inherent part of any people's culture, reflecting its character, customs, morals, and even history. The language of music, understandable by everyone without need of translation, brings together countries and helps to know and love the unknown national art.

The concert programme will include Azerbaijani, Georgian, Tajik, Turkmen, German, Bashkir, Kazakh and Russian songs as well as love songs and duets from operettas and operas by national composers.
