“Melodies of the Screen. Continuation”

The “Melodies of the Screen. Continuation” concert with the participation of the Chamber Orchestra will take place in the Chamber Hall of the Astana Opera House. The concert will feature songs and instrumental compositions from popular films and cartoons, accompanied by video footage.

The programme will include music pieces of such famous composers as Elton John, Richard M. Sherman and Alan Menken, Tolegen Mukhamejanov, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lee Ru-ma, Mikael Tariverdiev, Ennio Morricone, John Williams, Andrei Petrov, Rufus Wainwright, Astor Piazzolla and others, revised by Alikhan Idrissov.

The songs from the cartoons The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, Shrek and from the films Twilight, Station of Love, Racketeer, Fara, Shadowboxing, The Phantom of the Opera, The Irony of Fate, Once upon a time in America, We Are from Jazz, Schindler's List, Station for Two, Scent of a Woman and others will be performed.

The leading opera soloists – Honoured Workers of Kazakhstan Zhan Tapin, Sundet Baigozhin as well as Ramzat Balakishiyev, Konstantin Strigin, Anastasiya Medetova, Aisha Orynbassarova, Balzhan Saparova (flute), Dinara Sartai (piano), the Chamber Orchestra and Choir of the Astana Opera House will take part in the concert. Accompanist and Conductor - Winner of Republican Competitions Alikhan Idrissov.
