Asanali Ashimov is a Kazakh and Soviet actor, loved by viewers of different ages.

 

Creative Way

Ashimov's debut is the film "Bogatoz". He played in it back in his youth, in 1958. After that he participated in several small films. A, noticed Asanali, when the film "Kyz-Zhibek" was released, which won the 1971 KazSSR Prize. After such success Asanali was offered to play in the movie "The End of Ataman", and the next breakthrough was the movie "Trans-Siberian Express" which glorified Asanali all over the Union.

During all the time Asanali Ashimov has starred in more than 30 films, among them:

  • "The Throw, or It All Started on Saturday";
  • "A Provincial Novel";
  • "The Wolf's Trail", etc.
  • In 1981 Asanali tried himself as a director and shot the film "Year of the Dragon".  A few years later he released the film "The Legendary Chokan". Asanali Ashimov's last films were "The House by the Salt Lake" and "Wormwood".

However, he devoted most of his time to the theatre. He was Gorodnichiy in "The Inspector", Zharasbaem in "Morning Echo", Syram Datov in "A Testament to Descendants" and so on.

In 2017, the artist decided to end his career, as all his friends died, and he could not find a suitable partner.

Asanali Ashimov: family life

Asanali grew up without a father. He died. His mother hasn't been married since. She passed away in 2002.

Asanali married Maira Aymanova, the daughter of a famous Kazakh director. They had two children: Madi learned to be an architect and Sagi learned to be an actor. The marriage lasted 35 years, until the death of Maira. He was married three more times and became a father three times. The children gave Asanali five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
