Kutty Meken Aktobeden An Shashu
On August 19, the Kazakh Chamber Choir of the Aktobe Region Gaziza Zhubanova Philharmonic will give the Kutty Meken Aktobeden An Shashu concert in the Chamber Hall.
The company started its creative career in 1991. Cultural figures of the Aktobe Region, such as Kazi Zhassekenov and Amir Teleuov, as well as the celebrated Kazakhstani conductor and composer, member of the Union of Composers of Kazakhstan Turum Alaguzov have contributed to the foundation of the company.
Along with folk songs and chamber compositions by Kazakh, Russian and foreign composers, which are more than 400 in the company’s repertoire, the artists also perform major works of choral classics: Requiem by Mozart, Carmina Burana by Orff, Pushkin's Garland and The Unuttered Miracle by Sviridov, Merekelik Cantata by Sagatov and others.
Kazakhstani masters and renowned Russian cultural figures worked at different times with the Chamber Choir: People’s Artist of the USSR, Professor Molodov, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Zhamanbayev, Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Baikadamov Chapel Choir Demeuov, Honoured Artist of Russia Serebriyskaya and others.
The company honourably represents the Republic at international choral competitions and festivals and gives concerts in Kazakhstan and abroad (Astana, St. Petersburg, Orenburg, Ankara (Turkey), etc.).

The concert programme will feature folk songs and works by Kazakhstani and foreign composers.
