TAMYR

Ethno-folklore ensemble «TURAN» presents the world-famous project «TAMYR». At the concert the audience will have an opportunity to make a journey into the world of nomadic civilisation, learn the origins of the Turkic-speaking peoples, the mythological worldview of our ancestors through a unique modern musical and theatrical show, in which together with the ensemble «TURAN» will take part dance groups and acting troupe. The creative team of the project will present the audience with an unforgettable evening through the rich spiritual heritage of the Turkic world. At the concert, the ensemble members will play more than 30 national musical instruments of the Kazakh people, as well as national instruments of the Kyrgyz, Uzbeks, Azerbaijanis, Turks, Turkmens, Hungarians and Sakha.

The ensemble «TURAN» has performed more than 3000 concerts in 122 cities of the world for 15 years of its creative activity, rightfully winning the title of «Musical brand of the Turkic world». The ensemble has performed at famous concert venues around the world, such as «Carnegie hall» (New York, USA), Kennedy centre (Washington, USA), Zellerbach hall (Los Angeles, USA), Konzerthaus (Berlin, Germany), Palais des festivals et des Congres (Cannes, France), Salle Cartot (Paris, France), the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory (Moscow, Russia), the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall (St. Petersburg, Russia) and others.

The ensemble, having formed a unique musical style, became the basis for the creation of many groups in the country consisting of 5 or more multi-instrumentalist musicians.
