Dina Hamzina

Dina Khamzina is the owner of a unique mezzo-soprano, the prima of performances in her homeland and in Tatarstan, the winner of prestigious music competitions.

Creative path

In 1994 Dina graduated from the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute, majoring in music. Her tutor, Bakhyt Ashimova, immediately saw great talent and offered the young artist to further study at the Conservatory named after Kurmangazy.

Since 2000 she has been performing as a soloist, mezzo-soprano at the Abay Almaty Academic Theatre, and since 2013. - since 2013 at the Astana Opera State Educational Institution.

In 2004, she won 1st prize at the International Bibigul Tulegenova Vocal Competition, and in 2006 she won the World Performing Arts Championship in the USA.

Dina improved her natural gift under the guidance of the Honored Artist of the Republic and teacher Shahimardan Abilev, the world-famous Italian teacher of the Academy of La Scala Luciano D'Intino, conductors Marco Boemi, Krzysztof Penderecki, Rinat Salavatov. 

Dina Hamzina's concerts delight opera music lovers not only in Kazakhstan but also in Italy, the Netherlands, Macedonia, Portugal, the USA, and Russia.   

Family life

Married since 1995, she has a son, Nursultan.
