The Magic of Two Pianos
The creative duet of famous pianists – Gulzhan Uzenbayeva and Dana Zhubanova-Ali will present a varied programme featuring works by the classics of the 18th – 20th centuries, as well as contemporary Kazakhstani composers.
Gulzhan Uzenbayeva – Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Composers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, soloist of the Zhambyl Kazakh State Philharmonic, professor of the piano department at the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.
Dana Zhubanova-Ali, being an associate professor of the piano department at the Kazakh National University of Arts, has trained more than 70 winners of republican and international competitions. She actively promotes Kazakhstani piano and chamber music in the country and abroad.
The concert will feature Two Tajik Dances by Akhmet Zhubanov, whose 115th birthday is celebrated by the country's musical community.
