The Astana Opera House offers a classical music evening “As Long as the Candle Burns”.

The programme features works by the great Viennese classicist and “father of the symphony” Joseph Haydn, including his famous Symphony No. 45 in F-sharp minor (Farewell), in the finale of which the musicians, having finished their part, one by one extinguish the candles burning before their stands and leave.

Haydn wrote more than a hundred symphonies. The great Viennese classical composer was not only a talented composer but also an incredibly kind and sensitive person, which is reflected in his beautiful music.

The Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra and the guest conductor from Israel, Arik Goldshtein, will present a concert of Viennese classics.

The author of the project: Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdin.

Arik Goldshtein was born in Ashdod, Israel. Graduated with a Master’s Degree in classical guitar performance from the University of Alicante (Spain). He also studied performing arts at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Arik Goldshtein has taken part in workshops in symphonic conducting given by Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdin.
