“Immortal Amadeus”
Dedicated to the 260th anniversary of W.A. Mozart
The “Immortal Amadeus” concert will take place in the Chamber Hall of the Astana Opera House.
27 January 2016 marked 260 years since Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), the great Austrian composer, whose creative work is one of the pinnacles of the musical culture of all humanity, was born. He composed more than 600 musical works, and had a phenomenal ear for music and memory.
“Mozart - is youth of music, forever eternally young spring of humanity, the joy of spring renewal and spiritual harmony,” wrote Dmitri Shostakovich.
The programme will include works by W.A. Mozart:
Overture to the opera The Magic Flute
Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola with Orchestra Es-dur, K.364
Violin Concerto No.3 in G Major, K.216
Violin Concerto No.5 in A Major, K.219
The concert will feature:
Bagdat Abilkhanov (viola, violin, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan)
Aisulu Baikenova (violin)
Astana Opera Chamber Orchestra
