The play «PEOPLE'S MESSAGE» in Karagandy

Live streaming of cleavage symptoms. Some people have butterflies in their stomachs, others have cockroaches in their heads, some have squirrels, some have cuckoos flying away from them, but none of this matters to those who have bedbugs in their drawers.

The dramaturgical basis of the performance was Oleg Bogayev's play ‘Russian People's Post’, written in the 90s about a man whose youth was in the 40s of the last century. It is a pity, but the events in the world have made such a turn that this story turned out to be not about the past, but about what is happening now. And it is very scary that most of it sounds like a forecast of the not so distant future.

The protagonist is alone. His relatives are dead, his neighbours are gone. All that connects him with the outside world is an old TV set, which for many years informs him what a wonderful country he lives in. He even has a medal for his involvement in the achievement of this common greatness. But there is no sense of belonging. It is difficult for him to believe in the bright future when the present is bleak: cutlets once a month and tea without sugar, and other planets in the night sky.

But any forecast does not equal a hundred per cent guarantee. Everything can change if each person makes a conscious choice. And where will you look: at the box or at the window?
