In a realm ruled by endless and ever-shifting rules, is there room for human essence? For freedom that breaks the system? For truth? For authenticity? Or... what is truly happening in Zone 404?..

This performance was staged as part of the aLqa project. aLqa is an initiative aimed at exploring values and artistic pursuits within Kazakhstan’s theatrical landscape. It seeks to unite theatre practitioners with academic experts, promoting democratic values and establishing new aesthetic conventions in theatre. The project supports the creation of high-quality productions while fostering creative independence. As part of the programme, courses in dramaturgy and directing were held, culminating in five playwrights selected to write original plays, and five directors staging performances based on those scripts. The dramaturgy course was led by Ännas Bağdat, and the directing course by renowned actor, director, and theatre educator Kuba Adilov.
