Meruert Utekeshova from childhood showed interest in acting and her first film role, and it was a film "Kyz Zhibek", played when she was still in high school.

Creative Way

Immediately after school, Meruet entered the Kurmangazy State Institute of Arts, which she successfully graduated in 1973. After graduation, she immediately entered the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theatre named after M.O. Auezov. For these 40 years, she appeared before the audience in absolutely different images and each was bright, deep, in one word, such from which only pleasant aftertaste remains. Meruet Karataevna decorated the performances as follows:

 

  • "Mother field" (Aliman);
  • "The Elder Son" (Nina);
  • "Three Sisters" (Anfisa);
  • "Karagoz" (Karagoz);
  • "Lost Friend" (Gainey);
  • "Heirs" (Member of the Commission);
  • "Big Sister" (Ghuhar);
  • "Kausar" (Kausar);
  • "Mahambet" (Hansha) and many others.

Apart from working on stage, Meruet also works with various film studios such as Kazakhfilm, Mosfilm, and Kyrgyzfilm. And at the moment her filmography consists of 24 films, of which it is possible to distinguish:

 

  • Earth Affairs (1983);
  • Impossible Children (1980);
  • Mahambet (2008);
  • The family of the hunter (1994) and so on.

She has been awarded 9 awards and is also a holder of state awards, the last of which was received in 2018 ("State scholarship of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy in the field of culture").

Meruert Uteshkova: family life

Meruert Karataevna has three children, but unfortunately one of them died. The deceased husband was also a drama actor and was recognized as the People's Artist of Kazakhstan.
