Programme of the master class «Making shoppers from recycled bags»

1. Introduction to recycling:

A brief talk on the environmental hazards of polythene bags and the importance of recycling.

Demonstration of products made from recycled bags and their use in everyday life.

2. Preparation of materials:

Collection and sorting of bags (participants can bring their own or use prepared ones).

Separation by colour, density and preparation for recycling.

3. Design and collaging:

Choosing a colour scheme and developing an individual chauper design.

Creating unique patterns and designs from the bags (collaging).

Participants create their own blanks under the guidance of a master.

4. Creating a new material:

Demonstration of fusing a collage of bags to make a strong material.

5. Final fabrication of the product:

Cutting, stitching, attaching fittings.

Participants create their own shofars.

6. Completion:

Final touches: checking the quality of the product, decorating (optional).

Discussion on further application of recycling skills in the home.

7. Completion of the master-class:

General photo of participants with finished products.
