«December Rain» is a heartfelt account of the tragic love affair between Chopin and Georges Sand. He is an eminent Romantic composer. She is an extravagant writer for whom a male pseudonym was the only way to succeed in the literary world of nineteenth-century France. Their romance caused both of them more misery than happiness. But even now, nearly two hundred years later, people remember their love story as one of the most romantic stories of the nineteenth century. No one could even imagine that George Sand and Frédéric Chopin could fall in love with each other, so different were they. A fragile, sickly young man and an energetic, assertive woman with a cigarette in her teeth who bragged to society about her male costume. But their affair, which lasted nearly 10 years, inspired Sand to write outstanding books and Chopin to write music. The denouement of their relationship was not a happy one, but a few days before his death he pronounced: «She promised that I would die in her arms.»...
