THE CONCERT IS HELD IN KAZAKH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

The Astana Opera House, as part of the International Festival “Operalia”, presents an evening of music titled “Romance of the Harp”, featuring fantasies on themes from operas. The guest of the concert is the renowned Russian harpist Elizaveta Alexandrova from Saint Petersburg, along with artists from the Astana Opera Orchestra.

The concert programme will include works by classical composers such as G. Donizetti, G. Rossini, V. Bellini, J. Offenbach, P. Tchaikovsky, D. Henson and others.

Elizaveta Alexandrova is a soloist with the St. Petersburg Opera and a winner of international competitions in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Bulgaria.

She has given recitals in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Bulgaria and the Netherlands.

Since 2005, she has been a member of the board of the Russian Harp Society.

She actively combines her concert activities with teaching at the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory in the harp and chamber ensemble classes.

In 2012, with the support of the Government of Saint Petersburg, she organized the Ksenia Erdeli International Harp Competition “Crystal Key”.

Donizetti Chatterton. Fantasy on themes from the opera L'elisir d'amore

Bellini Parish-Alvars. Fantasy on themes from the opera Norma

Rossini Bochsa. Fantasy on themes from the opera La Donna del lago

Offenbach Snoer. Barcarolle from the opera The Tales of Hoffmann

Henson Conant. Baroque flamenco on the theme of J.-J. Rousseau
