A young girl, cleaning under the Christmas tree, finds a toy in the form of a Nutcracker. The Nutcracker comes to life and tells her a sad story about his curse and the treacherous queen of the mouse kingdom. Suddenly, a strange sound is heard from somewhere in the corner of the room. Cracks run along the wall, and a mouse king appears from the gap. He has become big and scary, but the Nutcracker himself has matured and is preparing to fight the horror from the past.
