Wake Up, Bride
Description
Setting: Spain, early 20th century.
When a mother learns that her son is heading to the vineyard and has asked for a knife, she curses those who invented such deadly weapons - tools that give humans the power to kill. And how could she not? Her own husband and eldest son died in a brutal knife fight, claimed by the same cursed blade. The bride her son has chosen does not sit well with her heart. She wants nothing to do with the upcoming wedding. The groom leaves, and a neighbour arrives - and from that moment, everything begins to shift. What kind of love is this? What unspoken truth binds them all? And the mother, weary yet resolute, makes her choice: to say nothing to her son - and let silence speak what words cannot.
