Transiences

Recital of Tolegen Mukhamedzhanov

Compositions of Professor Tolegen Mukhamedzhanov, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the Order of Parasat, will be presented by Amir Tebenikhin, laureate of international competitions, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, at the “Transiences” concert.

Tolegen Mukhamedzhanov is the author of symphonies, operas, musical comedies, string quartets, symphonic compositions, vocal cycles to verses by Abai, romances, songs, and music for cinema and theatre.

“The most beautiful moments are always full of sadness. You feel that they are fleeting, you want to hold them, but it is impossible,” wrote the French writer André Morois. The piano work of Tolegen Mukhamedzhanov, the famous composer of Kazakhstan, allows us to think about life as a series of elusive moments, passing moods, quickly changing scenes and impressions. Piano pieces by T. Mukhamedzhanov are perceived as a “play of moments”, hence the title of the first collection of piano miniatures is “Transiences”. This collection includes 17 pieces.

Amir Tebenikhin, one of the brightest concert pianists in Kazakhstan, recently living in Hanover (Germany), does not lose touch with his homeland and actively promotes national musical art. “I am a citizen of Kazakhstan and I am glad that I can represent the country at world concert venues, at festivals, forums of classical music and competitions...”
