The Soul Sings in Tune with the Violin

On 16 April 2017, Akbike Algi, a talented Kazakhstani violinist, laureate of international competitions, will perform in “The Soul Sings in Tune with the Violin” concert.

Algi Akbike has been studying violin from the age of five. She is currently a student of the Kazakh National University of Arts (class of Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, Professor Raissa Musakhojayeva).

Akbike is a bright young talent. In a short time, she won acclaim both in her home country and abroad.

First prize of the Giovanni Talent International Competition (Italy);

First prize of the “Astana-Merei” International Competition (Kazakhstan);

Gold Medal of the Delphic Games (Kazakhstan);

Grand Prix of the Republican Competition for Young Performers (Kazakhstan);

Laureate of the Kloster Schoental International Violin Competition (Germany);

Laureate of the “Violin of the North” International Competition (Russia);

Diploma winner of the 8th P.Tchaikovsky International Youth Competition (Russia);

Youth Delphic Games of the CIS member countries (silver medal, Russia);

Laureate of the International Competition for Young Violinists (Russia);

Laureate of the 4th International Violin Competition (Kazakhstan).

 

The geography of her performances is extensive: Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, Great Britain, India, Jordan, the USA etc.

Famous violinists – People’s Artists of the USSR Eduard Grach, Viktor Tretyakov and Zakhar Bron speak about Akbike as a subtly feeling musician with a great future, marking her “deep philosophical understanding of the performed works”.
