An evening of Chamber music

LIFE FULL OF ROMANCE

The evening of chamber music “Life Full of Romance” with the participation of the Hermès String Quartet (Lyon, France) will take place in the Chamber Hall of the Astana Opera House.

The Hermès Quartet is one of the most promising young bands of its generation. The band musicians – graduates of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon - began performing together in 2008. Trained in Germany with Professor Eberhard Feltz. They are currently the residents of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.

The Hermès Quartet is the first prizewinner of international competitions in Lyon (2009), Geneva (2011) and New York (2012).

The musicians performed in the Kennedy Center in Washington, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Lingotto Theatre in Turin, the Philharmonic Academy in Bologna and at the Teatro Bibiena di Mantova. They participated in such festivals as Orangerie de Sceaux, Périgord Noir, the Festival Radio France in Montpellier, the Mozart Festival in Caux, the Musical September Festival in Ornans, Cité de la Musique in Paris, the Mecklenburg – Vorpommern and Crescendo in Berlin and Lockenhaus in Austria.

The musicians recorded their album with works by J.Haydn and L. van Beethoven (2012), as well as the complete edition of Schumann's string quartets (2014), and have received a number of awards (CHOC de Classica, Télérama The Strad, Qobuz, France musique...)
