“Round the World with the Kazakh Quartet” Series

On 18 March 2017, the famous Gaziza Zhubanova State String Quartet will give a concert.

This is one of the best chamber ensembles not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the world, as evidenced by numerous titles and awards received by the String Quartet at many prestigious international music forums. The G. Zhubanova Quartet is notable for its high performance skills, sophisticated playing techniques, pure and harmonious sound, which can be achieved not only with the help of talent, but also with the endless hard work.

The Quartet continues “Round the World with the Kazakh Quartet” concert series presenting the music by German composers in the Chamber Hall of the Astana Opera House. Wherever the Quartet performs and whatever the concert programme is, the musicians are sure to perform works by the Kazakh composers.

F.Mendelssohn. String Quartet No. 6 in F Minor, op.80

A.Zhaiym. String Quartet No. 1

Alexey Lebedev (2nd violin)

Bekzat Sailaubaiuly (viola)

Yernar Myntayev (cello)
