“Masterpieces of Three Centuries”

On February 2, the “Masterpieces of Three Centuries” concert will take place in the Chamber Hall of the Astana Opera House.

The programme will feature works by composers reflecting the trend of three eras - from the Viennese classicist Joseph Haydn to Argentinian Astor Piazzolla, the founder of the Tango Nuevo style.

People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Holder of Kurmet and Parasat Orders, Professor Gulzhamilya Kadyrbekova (piano) will perform for the first time on the stage of the Astana Opera Chamber Hall. The concert will also feature renowned musicians, winners of international competitions Askar Dyuissenbayev (violin), Mussa Kerimbayev (cello), Maia Sepp (piano).

 

Gulzhamilya KADYRBEKOVA graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and completed her assistantship and training course under Professor, Honoured Artist of the RSFSR G.Akselrod. She won first prize at the 31st International Viotti Competition in Italy.

Professor of the Piano Department of the Kazakh National Kurmangazy Conservatory, Gulzhamilya Kadyrbekova has been successfully engaged in pedagogical, performing, musical and social activities for about 40 years. More than 100 of Kadyrbekova’s students, 20 of whom are the winners of international competitions, successfully work in Kazakhstan and abroad.

She is a jury member of the Republican and prestigious International Piano Competitions, including the 10th International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians (Astana, 2017).

Gulzhamilya Kadyrbekova annually gives master classes in Kazakhstan and abroad. Her highest music culture, well-honed skills, nobility and exalted manner of performing, as well as extraordinary artistic charm brought the pianist wide recognition.

She regularly performs with well-known orchestras and conductors, such as the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Dmitri Kitaenko, the Ploiești Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Ovidiu Bălan, the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the direction of T.Mynbayev, T.Abdrashev, G.Dugashev, K.Akhmetov, V.Papian, and others. She gave concerts, which were a great success, in the best halls of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rome, Turin, Vienna, Paris, Ankara, Istanbul, Budapest, etc.
