“The Charm of Romance”

“The Charm of Romance” concert will take place in the Chamber Hall of the Astana Opera House.

Romance is music, which combines in a single unit two different, but equally beautiful forms of art – poetry and music. Romance is the wonderful world of the highest, the most inspirational and joyful feelings, experiences and impressions. It has no age limits and it can be referred neither to youth culture, nor to the culture of the elder generations. Romance is reminiscent of a fairy tale, or a drama, or even a detective story (The Cruel Romance), and therefore always goes down very well with the public.

The chamber romance performance is traditionally accompanied by a piano or a guitar.

The evening programme will include old romances by A. Alyabyev, A. Varlamov, P. Bulakhov, A. Gurilyov, Ye. Fomin, famous works by Russian classical composers M. Glinka, N. Rimsky-Korsakov, P. Tchaikovsky and others, as well as modern romances from films.

The concert will feature:

Baigali Mombekov (tenor), Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan

Yeskender Abzhanov (baritone)

Alibi Asakayev (guitar)
