Guest of the Concert - Alexey Lundin (violin, Moscow)
Leading orchestra musicians continue a series of concerts featuring foreign and Kazakhstani friends-musicians, who became famous for their art. The joint music-making gives the joy of creative sharing to the performers, and of meeting with wonderful virtuosos to the audience.
The concert will present works by foreign classical composers, as well as national musical masterpieces performed by the Astana Opera Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Ruslan Baimurzin.
During his work with the orchestra, Alexey Lundin performed at the world's best concert venues, as well as collaborated with the renowned musicians of our time. Along with Maestro Spivakov, Alexey Lundin has performed and recorded double concertos by Bach and Vivaldi, as well as various chamber works of the Baroque era.
The musician’s repertory includes violin concertos by Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Vivaldi, and Schnittke, which he has performed along with the Moscow Virtuosi Orchestra under the direction of Spivakov, Sondeckis, Simkin, Frants and Currentzis.
Alexey Lundin is known not only as a brilliant violinist, effectively developing his solo career, but also as a well-learned musician and a person of immense charm, who sincerely believes that “people have a lack of classical music”.
