Guest of the Concert - Eldar Nagiyev (violin, Novosibirsk)

Leading orchestra musicians continue a series of concerts featuring foreign and Kazakhstani friends-musicians, who became famous for their art. The joint music-making gives the joy of creative sharing to the performers, and of meeting with wonderful virtuosos to the audience.

The concert will feature works by foreign classical composers, as well as national musical masterpieces performed by the Astana Opera Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdinov.

Eldar Nagiyev graduated from the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, where he studied under Professor A. Kazarina. He underwent training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Austria) under Professors T. Varga and S. Marcovici, and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under Professor D. Schwarzberg. He is currently completing his studies in “Symphonic Conducting” under Professor A. Lyudmilin at the Novosibirsk Conservatory.

Eldar Nagiyev is a winner of international competitions. He performed with numerous orchestras including those of the Mariinsky Theatre and the Philharmonia of the Nations (Germany) and was a concertmaster with the orchestras in Portugal and Finland. Since 2013, he has been the first concertmaster at the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and a violin teacher at the Novosibirsk Special Music School.

Since 2016, he has been Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Novosibirsk Youth Symphony Orchestra named after V.Yankovsky under the Novosibirsk Special Music School, and Assistant Conductor at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
