Music in the Dark

On May 16, 2018, the Music in the Dark, a unique charity project, will be presented in the Astana Opera Chamber Hall.

In absolute darkness, the artists will offer the audience an interesting music and poetry programme.

You will become participants in a unique and bold experiment, i.e. step into the darkness in order to discover the world of music and poetry in a new way!

Concerts in the dark change the usual perception of music, the surrounding world, people you know and in addition, they change yourself. Darkness activates creative thinking and imagination, and you will immediately start not only to hear, but also to “see” music.

The project will feature soloists of the opera company, musicians of the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra, as well as professional blind musicians who will perform works by classical and national composers. The concert will also feature poems.

The project aims to draw attention to the problems of young people with disabilities. The revenue from the ticket sales will be transferred into the account of the “Light in the Darkness” Corporate Fund.
