“From France with Love”

Célimène Daudet

Célimène Daudet is the bearer of culture of two countries - France and Haiti. She started studying music in Aix-en-Provence, her native city, and then continued her studies at the Lyon National Conservatory (class of Géry Moutier) and the Paris National Conservatory. She is a winner of the Jean Françaix International Competition, the International Competition in Val-d’Isère, the Fédération Nationale des Associations de Parents d’Élèves de Conservatoires (FNAPEC), and the Pro Musicis International Award.

She is a scholarship holder of such foundations as Villecroze, the Banff Centre for the Arts (Canada), Safran and Spedidam (2014).

She performs a lot in France and abroad, and has recently debuted at Carnegie Hall, New York. She has recorded “A tribute to Bach” (2011) and “The Art of Fugue” by Bach (2013) with the Arion studio. Her project “In the soldier’s trunk” (2013) in cooperation with violinist Amanda Favier received the “Centenary” Prize awarded by the First World War Centenary Mission.

While working on unique creative projects, she collaborated with such choreographers as Yuval Pick and Yoann Bourgeois as well as actress Marie-Christine Barrault. She is the artistic director of the Lucien Durosoir Chamber Music Festival in Drôme.

The concert will be held with the support of the French Embassy to Kazakhstan.
