The mountain resort "Shymbulak" -  is a popular ski resort located in the gorge of the Zailiyskiy Alatau, just a 15-minute drive from the center of Almaty.

The cable car and cabins stop at exactly the time indicated in the opening hours. Last boarding is possible 30 minutes before closing time.

How to get to the starting point of the gondola road:

• take bus number 12
• get off at the "Shymbulak" stop.
• drive your own car.

We recommend purchasing a parking certificate in advance.

Base station "Medeu"

- The base station is located on the street. Kerey-Zhunibek Khandar, 640/1 (stop "Gondola road"). The gondola road "Medeu-Shymbulak" begins here, which will take you directly to the resort "Shymbulak"

Shymbulak resort

- This is the station of the ski resort, where there are restaurants, cafes, a hotel, a ski school, entertainment for children, areas for photo shoots and much more. You can also walk around the area and enjoy the views. The cable car "Combi-1" starts from here.

Transfer station Combi-1 – Combi-2

- This is the middle station where you can relax at the S.N.e.G. Here there is a transfer to the Combi-2 cable car.

Talgar pass

The highest point of the "Shymbulak" resort, located at an altitude of 3,200 m. It is here that the most breathtaking view of the city, as well as the Talgar pass, opens. You can also visit the unusual Igloo food & drinks restaurant, as well as the alpine BAR3200.

The ski slopes are served by a drag-line and two four-seater chairlifts (KKD 4 at the Shymbulak station and Levy Talgar at the Talgar pass station).
